چکیده
According to the United Nations (UN), an additional 1.35 billion people will live in cities by 2030. Well-planned measures are essential for reducing risk of flash floods. Flash floods typically inflict more damage densely populated areas. The province Hail encompasses 120,000 square kilometers, or approximately 6% total land area Kingdom Saudi Arabia. Due its innate physiographic and geologic character, city is susceptible a wide variety geo-environmental risks such as sand drifts, floods, rock falls. aim this work evaluate rate urban sprawl region using remote sensing data identify areas that would be affected simulated worst-case From 1984 2022, global urbanization increased from 467 713% region. This very high expansion, which means number exposed highest level flood rising every year. With Gridded Surface Subsurface Hydrologic Analysis (GSSHA), range hydrologic scenarios can simulated. sources soil type, infiltration, initial moisture were utilized create coverage index maps. To generate virtual we ran GSSHA model within Watershed Modeling System (WMS) program hazard map flooding. provides suitable method based on open access help planners developing countries analysis

Modelling of Urban Flooding in Dhaka City
Flooding in urban areas is an inevitable problem for many cities in Asia. In Bangladesh, Dhaka has serious problems related to urban flooding. The situation was highlighted in September 1996 when residences experienced ankle to kneedeep water on the streets. Daily activities in parts of the city were nearly paralyzed and heavy traffic jams occurred due to stagnant water on the streets. The stud...

Nowadays, it is vital to pay attention more seriously to the urban environmental risks because of its effects on citizens' lives. One of these problems is groundwater pollution which threatens much valuable water resources. Drinking water in Qom City is provided from different resources, such as watersheds and water wells which are located within the city. Although there is a shortage of water ...
متن کاملFlooding Level Estimation in Urban Areas with Sar Images
The main aim of this paper is to evaluate the level of flooding in proximity of sensible targets in urban areas using Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images. To this purpose two approaches are possible: Local Approach and Global Approach. The Local approach is based on just one SAR Image (in this case, the post-event SAR image) and allows the evaluation of the water level in proximity of the sel...
